Operating Principle


The top-entry hemispherical ball valve operates via a 90-degree rotational movement of the hemispherical valve core, driven by the valve stem and actuation system. When open, the hemispherical core aligns with the pipeline flow path, enabling full-bore, low-pressure-drop media flow. When rotated 90 degrees to the closed position, the core forms a tight, bubble-tight seal against the valve seat, completely shutting off media flow. The top-entry design allows full access to internal components for maintenance without removing the valve from the pipeline, a critical advantage for critical process lines.
