Overview

The stainless steel pneumatic three-way T-type diaphragm valve is designed for flow diversion and confluence control in sanitary and industrial piping systems. The T-port configuration allows one inlet to connect two outlets — or two inlets to merge into one — without cross-contamination between flow paths. This makes it a standard choice in food processing, pharmaceutical production, biotechnology, and chemical handling where media separation and hygienic operation are required.

Features & Advantages

T-Type Three-Way Flow Path

The T-port internal geometry supports both flow splitting and flow merging in a single valve body. This eliminates the need for two separate two-way valves and one tee fitting, reducing pipe joints and potential leak points.


CF8 / CF8M Stainless Steel Body

CF8 (304 SS equivalent) suits standard water and food-grade media. CF8M (316 SS equivalent) adds molybdenum for resistance to chlorides and mild acids, covering a broader range of chemical and pharmaceutical applications.


PTFE, RPTFE, and PPL Diaphragm Options

The diaphragm is the only wetted moving part. PTFE handles most media and meets FDA material standards. RPTFE (reinforced PTFE) extends diaphragm service life under higher pressures. PPL suits high-temperature steam applications up to 180°C.


Multiple Actuator and Control Options

Single-acting spring-return actuators provide fail-safe NC or NO positions on air loss. Double-acting actuators deliver higher torque output for larger sizes. Manual override is available for maintenance and commissioning without compressed air.


Three Connection Standards

Welded (BW), tri-clamp (TC), and flanged ends are all available on the same valve series. This allows direct integration into hygienic tubing systems or standard flanged pipework.


Wide Temperature Range

Media temperature coverage from -20°C to 180°C handles hot water-for-injection (WFI) loops, steam-in-place (SIP) cycles, and cold media in one valve design.

A: A standard diaphragm valve has one inlet and one outlet — it opens or closes a single flow path. A T-type three-way diaphragm valve has three ports arranged in a T configuration. It can direct flow from one port to either of the other two, or combine flows from two ports into one. This enables flow diversion or merging without additional fittings.


Q: Is this valve suitable for CIP and SIP service in pharmaceutical plants?
